Spiritual Thought

“Each of us can do a little better than we have been doing. We can be a little more kind. We can be a little more merciful. We can be a little more forgiving. We can put behind us our weaknesses of the past, and go forth with new energy and increased resolution to improve the world about us, in our homes, in our places of employment, in our social activities.”

By Gordon B. Hinckley

This quote reminds us that every day is a new start, and this applies to media as well. These days the world seems divided by the many harsh words people say about politics and their views towards issues in the world. If we follow the words of the profits we will be more kind and more understanding towards others.

I have encountered situations where I have to be quiet because I feel that is the best way to end a contention with the other person. When the spirit prompts me to be silent, even if I feel like I want to defend myself when I’m feeling attacked, the conflict will end. After that discussion and misunderstanding, I certainly believe that God listens to us and wants the best for us.

When the media is biased towards something, it can be a little judgmental, and maybe that can harm the feelings of others. It is important to be careful of the views of others, and if you disagree with something, there are ways to say words without hurting others.
